Shannon Duval brings warmth, passion, and more than 26 years of dedicated experience in health care philanthropy to her role as Global Chief Development Officer at Ronald McDonald House Charities. In this role, Shannon leads a dynamic global team, driving strategies to amplify and accelerate fundraising efforts across over 60 countries and regions, directly supporting essential family-centered programs worldwide.

Before joining Ronald McDonald House Charities, Shannon served as Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Philanthropy Officer at CommonSpirit Health, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the nation. Throughout her career, Shannon has effectively represented a diverse range of charities, from academic medical institutions and national health organizations to local, community-based health care providers.

Beyond her leadership roles, Shannon is the principal and owner of Good Today Better Tomorrow Advisers, LLC, through which she champions philanthropy best practices across the nonprofit sector. Shannon is also deeply committed to education and mentorship, serving as Chair Emeritus of the AHP Madison Institute, as a faculty member at the Institute for Charitable Giving, and frequently speaking at industry events as a recognized expert in philanthropy.

Shannon continues to give back to her alma mater, Luther College, where she serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. She holds master’s degrees from both Indiana University and Drake University Law School.

Shannon lives near Denver, Colorado, with her husband and their two teenage sons. When she's not immersed in philanthropic endeavors, Shannon enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
