Modern Institute for Charitable Giving Partner Program Terms

These terms describe how the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving (ModernICG) Partner Program works for the Excellence in Major Gift Fundraising Seminar. By joining and promoting the seminar as a partner, you agree to the following.

Important clarification: Becoming a partner in this program does not in any way constitute becoming a partner of Fundraising Transformed or the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving in any legal, business, employment, or organizational sense. Participation solely means agreeing to participate in the ModernICG Partner Program to help promote the Excellence in Major Gift Fundraising Seminar in exchange for commission on eligible referred registrations.

1. Program overview

The ModernICG Partner Program allows approved partners to earn commission by referring paid registrations to the Excellence in Major Gift Fundraising Seminar using unique partner links.

Partners promote the seminar to their audiences, and when someone completes a paid registration through a unique partner link or within the tracking window, the partner earns commission according to the terms below.

Participation in this program is limited to promotional activity for the seminar only. It does not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, franchise, or any other formal business relationship with Fundraising Transformed or the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving.

2. Eligibility and approval

  • You must submit an application to join the partner program.

  • Applications are reviewed and may be approved or declined at our discretion.

  • We may consider audience relevance, brand fit, promotional channels, and professional reputation when reviewing applications.

  • We may revoke partner status at any time if we believe the program terms or brand guidelines are being violated.

  • Approval to participate in the program grants you permission to promote the seminar under these terms only. It does not confer any title, role, ownership interest, or affiliation with Fundraising Transformed or the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving beyond participation in this promotional program.

3. Commission rate

  • The standard commission rate is $100 of the seminar registration fee for each eligible paid registration attributed to your unique partner link.

  • The rate applies to current seminar pricing, including Super Early Bird, Early Bird, group, and standard registrations. If pricing changes, the commission amount adjusts accordingly.

4. Eligible registrations

Commission is paid only on confirmed paid registrations that meet all of the following conditions:

  • The registration was completed through your partner link or within the tracking window defined below.

  • The payment has been successfully processed and has cleared our refund/adjustment window.

  • The registration is not canceled, refunded, or reversed.

  • The registration is not a self-referral (see Section 9).

Leads, unpaid checkouts, canceled registrations, refunded registrations, and self-referrals are not eligible for commission.

5. Tracking and cookie window

  • When someone clicks your partner link, Rewardful sets a tracking cookie in their browser.

  • The standard cookie window for this program is 30 days.

  • If the person completes a paid seminar registration within 30 days of clicking your partner link, that registration is attributed to you.

  • If they register after the 30-day window expires, that registration is not eligible for commission under your link.

Tracking relies on cookies and the participant's browser behavior. We are not responsible for tracking failures caused by ad blockers, privacy tools, cookie deletion, or other technical or user-side issues.

6. Commission status and payout threshold

Commissions progress through three main states:

  • Pending: Commission has been recorded but is still inside the refund/adjustment window.

  • Due: Commission has cleared the refund/adjustment window and counts toward your eligible balance.

  • Paid: Commission has been included in a processed payout.

Minimum payout threshold:

  • Commissions accrue in your partner account until your eligible balance reaches $100 USD or more.

  • Only once your due commissions total at least $100 USD will you be eligible for a payout.

7. Payout schedule and method

  • We review due commissions and typically process payouts monthly.

  • Partners have everything they need in one place. They can track commissions, access invoices, and withdraw payouts independently, no back-and-forth with you required.

We reserve the right to adjust payout timing for operational reasons (for example, holidays or exceptional circumstances), but will maintain a regular, predictable schedule.

8. Refunds, transfers, and adjustments

  • If a paid registration is refunded, canceled, or reversed within the refund/adjustment window, the associated commission will be voided or adjusted accordingly.

  • If a registrant transfers to a later seminar date under our standard policies and the original payment remains valid, we may treat that as a continuous registration for commission purposes.

  • We reserve the right to correct tracking or commission errors to match the actual underlying registrations and payments.

9. Self-referrals

  • Self-referrals are not eligible for commission.

  • You may not earn commission on your own seminar registrations or on registrations completed by your organization through your own partner link.

  • We reserve the right to void commissions that appear to be self-referrals or otherwise not in line with the intent of the program.

10. Paid search and brand bidding

To protect our brand and maintain fair economics, we have specific rules for paid search:

Partners may not bid on, purchase, or otherwise target the following brand terms or close variants in paid search campaigns without written approval:

  • "ModernICG"

  • "Modern ICG"

  • "Modern Institute for Charitable Giving"

  • "Institute for Charitable Giving"

  • "ICG" (in a charitable giving context)

  • "Fundraising Transformed"

  • "Excellence in Major Gift Fundraising Seminar"

  • "Excellence in Major Gifts Fundraising"

  • Any misspellings or combinations of these terms.

Partners may not run ads that appear to be official ModernICG or Fundraising Transformed ads. Any paid search activity must comply with applicable advertising platform policies and laws.

Brand bidding exceptions, if any, require prior written approval and may be subject to additional conditions.

11. Promotional guidelines and relationship clarification

Partners agree to:

  • Represent the seminar accurately and honestly, using current information from ModernICG.

  • Avoid misleading, deceptive, or unethical marketing practices.

  • Respect participant privacy and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Avoid implying employment, staff status, agency, or formal business partnership with ModernICG or Fundraising Transformed.

  • Clearly represent yourself as an independent promoter of the seminar, not as a representative, spokesperson, employee, agent, or business partner of Fundraising Transformed or the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving.

Participation in the ModernICG Partner Program does not grant you authority to speak on behalf of, negotiate for, enter into agreements on behalf of, or otherwise bind Fundraising Transformed or the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving in any way. Your role is limited to promoting the Excellence in Major Gift Fundraising Seminar under the terms of this program.

We reserve the right to revoke partner status for promotional practices we consider inconsistent with our values or harmful to our brand.

12. Program changes and termination

  • We may update commission rates, thresholds, payout schedules, cookie windows, or other program details from time to time.

  • We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to active partners.

  • We may suspend or terminate the program, or any individual partner relationship, at our discretion.

In the event of program termination, we will pay any due commissions that have met the payout threshold under the then-current terms. Termination of participation in the program, for any reason, does not create any ongoing obligation or relationship between the partner and Fundraising Transformed or the Modern Institute for Charitable Giving beyond payment of due commissions.

13. Contact and questions
